We breathe air

Save the trees we find; they make the air more fresh as for that we should plant new trees, or improve the green surfaces along the site.
We can also see how trees can filter the air making dust fixed on the leaves. Let’s use this principle for avoiding traffic dust into our homes; green living façades make it possible. Due to the rainy weather, it seems to be self cleaning façades.

The catalytic concrete surfaces make oxidation complete, transforming the smoke of fossil fuels into not so harmful for life. They are also self cleaning façades.

Fighting against noise:

The main problems of this site concerns about traffic; polluted air, disturbing noise, barriers for pedestrians...

We know that we can hardly escape from the noise if we don´t build an intermediate barrier.

We can think about green barriers (trees and bushes). For this kind of barrier we should know that they must be totally fulfilled as for not seeing anything through them (black forest).
So they are not really suitable if we understand that we must walk and cross through those green spaces.

We also know that porous and non reflecting surfaces can decrease the energy of noise; we must use this knowledge as the first step against the noise problem. According to this, we choose soft pavements as the ones made of recycling tyres, porous concrete with elastic joints or grass, bushes, pine tree bark and trees, there are lot of options to choose. As for the traffic oriented façades, double layers are the best; we can use green façades, as a 1st barrier between balcony and outside.

By the other hand we must consider the building barriers as the best option to choose; we will get a quiet space, away from traffic and ready to play in it.

Playing in the site:

We understand that one of the most important questions to solve in this exercise is to make this site not only attractive for business; we must consider playing life as the opposite of working. Both together can make a way of life. As for this, apart from business life, we must find places where we can make relationships whilst having fun; sports are really attractive, but we can not deny the fun of having some drinks with our mates while watching a concert.
We must also remember as when being kids how fun we could find in playing in a safe environment, away from traffic and near home; there was enough with 2 trees in front of another 2, a ball and plenty of time to play football. Now these lucky kids have soft rubber pavements, a perfect place for falling without hurting.
